The Thrill of Seeing New Guinea’s Paradise of Bird
October 19th, 2011
New Guinea is a beautiful country that remains relatively untouched especially in the provincial areas by an overabundance of progress or technology. The avian diversity is unmatched and island birds have been one of the main reasons why tourists flock to this country.

Life in New Guinea is traditional and unrushed. It’s a wonderful place to go where nature is allowed to flourish as seen with the vast diversity of birds in the area. They could prove to have the solution for avian flu or bird as well as avian malaria. Researchers have been traveling to New Guinea to take blood samples in order to pinpoint key data that would help them find a cure or shot that would prevent these types of diseases.
On another aspect, the birds of New Guinea have certain traits and mannerisms that make them such a joy to watch. For instance, birds of paradise found in New Guinea have been called “feathers of seduction” by the National Geographic website because of their style of mating. He shifts between doing ballerina-like movements to a strange boogie-woogie style of dancing that works wonders among the female birds. Other birds have incredible colorful appearances that look like costumes with ribbons, beards, and wiry feathers that are unlike any other bird in the world. And when they start strutting, its part of their mating call, and again it works beautifully.
